Digital Studio January 11th - March 21th, 2012 Wednesday 6:00pm - 9:00pm 11 Sessions - 33 Hours Brandon Clarida | $349.00 Level : Intermediate Course Description If you have learned the fundamentals of Adobe Photoshop and are ready to achieve a greater, more personalized understanding of the imaging tools in this limitless creative application, photographer Brandon Clarida is ready to be your guide. In this course, you will learn skills and techniques to build your digital toolkit, with the focus remaining on the development of your personal aesthetic. Through group critiques and one-on-one guidance, you will be challenged to interpret your images and realize their full potential through digital post-production. Focused assignments and guided work periods will culminate with the production of a mini-portfolio of unique images. Areas of study will include controlling colour, creating organic image composites, HDR imaging, making aesthetic choices, and other technical and creative aspects of photographic post-production. Note: Educational discounts on Adobe Software are available to registered SPAO students. Ask your instructor for more details. Students must have access to a laptop computer with Photoshop CS4 or CS5. Thirty-day trial versions of software are available to those who do not have Photoshop installed. As this is an intermediate level course, participants are expected to have working knowledge of Photoshop. Recommended prerequisites are Elementary Photoshop or its equivalent.
