The Luna Bursary The Luna Bursary 2011/2012 is a $1,500 bursary available for a selected student of the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa (SPAO) Portfolio Program that has successfully completed Level 1 Photographic Foundations, and has been offered and accepted transition into Level 2 of the SPAO Portfolio Program, Portfolio Development. This bursary has been established to help a dedicated student of the photographic medium pay their tuition fees for their second year in the SPAO Portfolio Program for the 2011/2012 academic year.  Both the Luna Bursary and the Sphinx Bursary have been established at SPAO at the request of private donors that are artists and avid practitioners and collectors of photography. They wish to encourage the development of photographic artists by offering financial support to selected students of the SPAO Portfolio Program. One of each of the Luna Bursary and the Sphinx Bursary will be offered in 2011, to be applied towards tuition for the 2011/2012 academic year. Applications for the Luna Bursary 2011/2012 will be accepted from Monday March 14th, 2011 until Friday, April 1st, 2011 at 5:00pm. The recipients of both the Luna Bursary and the Sphinx Bursary will be announced Friday May 6th, 2011. The Luna Bursary 2011/2012 has a monetary value of $1,500.00 and will be paid to the selected recipient by cheque. The Sphinx Bursary The Sphinx Bursary 2011/2012 is a $1,500 bursary available for a selected student of the School of the Photographic Arts: Ottawa (SPAO) Portfolio Program that has successfully graduated from Level 2 Portfolio Development, and has been invited to participate in Level 3 Directed Research and Production and has accepted this offer. This bursary has been established to help a dedicated student of the photographic medium pay their tuition fees for their third year at SPAO pursuing self-directed research and production in the 2011/2012 academic year.  Both the Luna Bursary and the Sphinx Bursary have been established at SPAO at the request of private donors that are artists and avid practitioners and collectors of photography. They wish to encourage the development of photographic artists by offering financial support to selected students of the SPAO Portfolio Program.
